Since May 15, 2026, xAI answers calls to the model grok-code-fast-1 from a newer version.

On May 15, 2026, model grok-code-fast-1 was retired. Calls targeting model grok-code-fast-1 are now redirected to grok-build-0.1 rather than failing. xAI continues answering these requests from the newer model.
