# GET /map/tile/{} stops working

Calls to GET /map/tile/* on Azure Maps stopped working on September 17, 2026.

On September 17, 2026, Azure Maps retired Render version 1.0. Requests to the GET /map/tile/* endpoint are no longer supported and fail since that date.

## What to use instead

Call GET /map/tile?api-version=2024-04-01 with a tilesetId such as microsoft.base.road or microsoft.imagery instead.
