# Traffic v1 incidents stops working

Calls to /traffic/incident/* on Azure Maps stop working on March 31, 2028.

On March 31, 2028, Azure Maps Traffic v1 will be retired. Requests to the /traffic/incident/* endpoints will fail after this date. All calls to the v1 incident service must be updated before the retirement to avoid service disruptions.

## What to use instead

Update your integration to call GET /traffic/incident?api-version=2025-01-01 instead. For drawing incident tiles, switch to Render's /map/tile endpoint using a microsoft.traffic.incident tileset.

- API: Azure Maps (atlas.microsoft.com)
- Kind: Version retirement
- Takes effect: March 31, 2028
- Calls after that day: fail
- Calls it hits: `/traffic/incident/*`
