# Bing Maps for Enterprise stops working

Calls to Bing Maps for Enterprise on Bing Maps Spatial Data Services stop working on June 30, 2028.

Bing Maps for Enterprise is deprecated and will stop working on June 30, 2028. The service is already retired for free Basic account customers, while Enterprise account customers can continue using it until that day. After June 30, 2028, requests to spatial.virtualearth.net will fail.

## What to use instead

Move geocoding, routing, and map calls to Azure Maps (atlas.microsoft.com) using Microsoft's migration guides. Transitioning involves more than changing an identifier, as Azure Maps requires an Azure subscription, a new key, and uses different APIs from Bing Maps.

Azure Maps needs an Azure subscription and a new key, and its APIs differ from Bing Maps'.
