Cohere has deprecated the POST /v1/generate endpoint without a shutdown date. This change affects requests sent to this legacy generative route, and calls will eventually fail. Cohere lists the route as deprecated on api.cohere.ai.

Use the Chat endpoint (/v2/chat) instead.
