Context7 API /api/v2/skills* endpoint removal

Stopped workingSubscribe to Context7 APIShare

On October 19, 2026, Context7 API removed the /api/v2/skills* endpoints. Calls to these paths fail since that date. The change decommissioned the Skill Hub API functionality previously used by the platform.

Calls it hits

  • /api/v2/skills*

What to use instead of these calls

Upgrade the ctx7 CLI to 0.5.15 or later, and retrieve the find-docs and context7-mcp skills directly from raw GitHub storage at the upstash/context7 repository. Features such as skill search, suggestions, quota, and questions have no replacement.

Skill search, suggestions, quota and questions have no replacement.

In Context7 API's words

ctx7 setup now downloads the find-docs and context7-mcp skills directly from GitHub instead of the deprecated Skill Hub API.
