Crossref Event Data API removal

Stopped workingSubscribe to Crossref Event Data APIShare

The Event Data API stopped working on April 23, 2026. Calls to api.eventdata.crossref.org fail since that date. The public service was sunset, leaving the endpoint permanently inactive.

What to use instead of these calls

Remove calls to the Event Data API. There is no replacement API, so tracking new events requires another source or removing the feature. Past events collected by Crossref remain available through a static repository linked from the deprecation notice.

No replacement API: new events need another source, or the feature goes.

In Crossref Event Data API's words
