# idempotent on POST /v1/sessions is deprecated

Devin API deprecated POST /v1/sessions, body parameter idempotent without giving a shutdown date yet.

The body parameter idempotent on POST /v1/sessions has been deprecated without a shutdown date. Devin API noted that the legacy idempotent boolean is deprecated. Requests relying on this parameter will eventually fail once it is fully removed.

## What to use instead

Send idempotency_key instead.
