Duffel API adults body parameter removal on POST /stays/search

Deprecated, no dateSubscribe to Duffel APIShare

The body parameter adults on POST /stays/search has been deprecated without a shutdown date. Calls that continue to rely on this parameter will eventually fail once it is removed. Duffel API announced this change on June 18, 2024, noting that customers must move to the new guests field.

Calls it hits

  • POST /stays/search
  • body parameter adults

What to use instead of these calls

Send a guests array instead of adults, including one entry per guest with type adult or child and the child's age. This update requires modifying your request payload structure beyond changing an identifier.

In Duffel API's words

customers must move from the now deprecated adults field in location and accommodation search, and instead use our new guests field
