# POST /trade-api/v2/portfolio/orders is deprecated

Kalshi API deprecated POST /trade-api/v2/portfolio/orders without giving a shutdown date yet.

The POST /trade-api/v2/portfolio/orders endpoint has been deprecated without a specific shutdown date, following an announcement on June 18, 2026. Calls to this endpoint will fail once the removal takes effect. Kalshi API noted that legacy mutation endpoints will be deprecated sometime between June 18 and June 25.

## What to use instead

Use POST /trade-api/v2/portfolio/events/orders (Create Order V2) instead.
