# /{}/account/users/{}/grants is deprecated

Linode API (Akamai Cloud) deprecated /{id}/account/users/{id}/grants without giving a shutdown date yet.

The endpoint /{id}/account/users/{id}/grants has been deprecated without a shutdown date. Grants are being replaced with RBAC Identity and Access, meaning existing calls will eventually fail. The change applies to requests targeting the /{id}/account/users/{id}/grants endpoint.

## What to use instead

Read and set a user's access with GET/PUT /v4/iam/users/{username}/role-permissions.
