# The doc_update tool stops working

Calls to MCP tool doc_update on Miro MCP Server stopped working on September 14, 2026.

On September 14, 2026, the Miro MCP Server removed the MCP tool doc_update. Requests calling this tool fail since that day.

## What to use instead

Call canvas_update_from_svg instead. Note that moving to canvas_update_from_svg replaces the whole document body, requiring you to read it first.
