# name on POST /api/v2/projects/{}/snapshots/{}/restore is deprecated

Neon API deprecated POST /api/v2/projects/{id}/snapshots/{id}/restore, query parameter name without giving a shutdown date yet.

The query parameter name on the POST /api/v2/projects/{id}/snapshots/{id}/restore endpoint has been deprecated without a shutdown date. Calls that continue to pass this parameter as a query parameter will eventually fail once it is removed.

## What to use instead

Send name in the JSON request body instead of the query string.

- API: Neon API (console.neon.tech)
- Kind: Parameter removal
- Takes effect: no date given yet
- Calls after that day: fail
- Calls it hits: `POST /api/v2/projects/{id}/snapshots/{id}/restore`, `query parameter name`

## Neon API's words

> Deprecated. Use the `name` field in the request body instead.
