# POST /api/v1/players is deprecated

Onesignal deprecated POST /api/v1/players without giving a shutdown date yet.

Onesignal deprecated the endpoint POST /api/v1/players without announcing a shutdown date. Calls made to this route will eventually fail. Onesignal identifies this as a legacy route.

## What to use instead

Switch to Create User or Create Subscription instead.
