# /api/v1/* stops working

Calls to /api/v1/* on OpenSea API stopped working on December 5, 2023.

On December 5, 2023, OpenSea shut down the V1 API. All calls to /api/v1/* endpoints fail and return 404 Not Found errors.

## What to use instead

Call the V2 API instead. Use GET /api/v2/chain/{chain}/contract/{address}/nfts/{identifier} for an NFT, GET /api/v2/collections/{slug} for a collection, or GET /api/v2/events for events.
