# /async/chat/completions* stops working

Calls to /async/chat/completions* on Perplexity stopped working on September 27, 2026.

Perplexity removed the /async/chat/completions* endpoints on September 27, 2026. Calls to /async/chat/completions* fail since that day, as asynchronous Sonar requests are no longer supported. Any traffic sent to these endpoints now results in an error.

## What to use instead

Submit an Agent API request using POST /v1/agent with background: true and poll the response by id.
