# POST /v1/complete is deprecated

Portkey API deprecated POST /v1/complete without giving a shutdown date yet.

Portkey API announced the deprecation of POST /v1/complete on December 1, 2023, without a shutdown date. This deprecation affects all calls made to the POST /v1/complete endpoint. Following its removal, requests sent to this endpoint fail.

Call POST /v1/completions (OpenAI-compatible) instead.
