# POST /v2/create-web-call is deprecated

Retell AI API deprecated POST /v2/create-web-call without giving a shutdown date yet.

Retell AI will deprecate the POST /v2/create-web-call endpoint on October 18, 2026. This change affects all requests made to POST /v2/create-web-call. After this deprecation, calls to this endpoint will fail.

## What to use instead

Call POST /v3/create-web-call with the same JSON body, which returns connection details including call_id and access_token. To read the call itself, use GET /v2/get-call/{call_id}.
