# Shopify Admin API 2026-01 is redirected to a newer version

From January 16, 2027, Shopify Admin API answers calls to /admin/api/2026-01/* from a newer version.

On January 16, 2027, the Shopify Admin API will retire version 2026-01. This change affects all requests directed to /admin/api/2026-01/*. After this date, calls will not fail outright; instead, Shopify Admin API answers them by redirecting to a newer version.

Call a newer stable version. Past this day Shopify answers with the oldest version still accessible.
