# Shopify Admin API 2026-04 is redirected to a newer version

From April 16, 2027, Shopify Admin API answers calls to /admin/api/2026-04/* from a newer version.

On April 16, 2027, Shopify Admin API version 2026-04 will retire. Requests sent to /admin/api/2026-04/* will no longer be handled by this version. Instead of failing, these calls will be redirected and answered by a newer version.

## What to use instead

Call a newer stable version instead. Past April 16, 2027, Shopify answers requests with the oldest version still accessible.
