# /security is deprecated

Telnyx API deprecated /security* without giving a shutdown date yet.

Telnyx deprecated the /security* endpoints without a shutdown date. These HTTP endpoints predate the current V2 REST API, and calls to them fail. Developers should not use these routes for new integrations.

## What to use instead

Use the V2 API with an API key passed as Authorization: Bearer and its matching resources under the v2 base path. Because there is no direct one-to-one replacement, the matching V2 product must be chosen and validated.

Telnyx names no one-to-one replacement for its retired HTTP APIs: the matching V2 product must be chosen and validated.

- API: Telnyx API (api.telnyx.com)
