# channelId on GET /youtube/v3/commentThreads stops working

Calls to GET /youtube/v3/commentThreads, query parameter channelId on YouTube Data API stopped working on April 30, 2024.

On April 30, 2024, the YouTube Data API stopped supporting the query parameter channelId on GET /youtube/v3/commentThreads. Following this removal, calls relying on this parameter fail. The change reflects that the API no longer supports retrieving channel discussions.

## What to use instead

To read comments on a channel's videos, switch to using allThreadsRelatedToChannelId. Channel discussions themselves have been removed and have no replacement.
